The west is predominantly a christian region.from surveys carried out in america in 1990 86% of the population were christians,in 2001 it the number dropped to about 78%.In 2012 around 73% of the population identify themselves as christians.the numbers reduced as time passed, a testimony of the fact that americans grew disenfranchised from religious activities,most prominient of which is the christian faith,for which members of a church’s choir make it into the hall of fame,for that many deviate from their religious dedication and become promoters of a non-religious celebrities known for works other than the Lords,while they do good at it,inspiring members of the church to similar patterns due a perceived sense of norm amongst christians. For various reasons,the churches continued to reduce in the USA.A reason which may include a (1)disconnect between the followers and what the church preaches (2) the churches mostly speak more of prosperity in lifestyle than what awaits in heaven (3) the church presents little or no answer to people who hope they may live after life (4)the church is more materialistic,in that they talk about things that some religions will rather not talk about (5)there is a sense of disbelief and blind following by the priests who possess no answers to some questions about God…USA,having the largest population of christians on earth,in the 1990s with about 224 million christians.christianity was introduced to USA in the 16th & 17th century by europians who colonized the region,immigration also increased their numbers.

Christianity is the largest religion in Europe like america,it has been practiced there since the 1st century.According to a research carried out by ‘Pew research center’ 76.2% of europians consider themselves christians.defining the western allies,America and Europe as a predominant christian region made up of various clans and smaller communities.

The west as the nations of America,Europe are known by pundits.The west is being revered in our days as the politically,infrastructurally,militarily and most democratically advanced regions of the world.extending their collectiv reach to all the nook and crannies of the world with the supremacist psyche to which they stand in terms of ideology,pride and confidence over the rest of the world,for their human resources,technological achievements,ideological stance and military might,which the region boasts of as a ‘superpower of the world.Whose ideologies are basically ‘freedom of liberties ‘ enshrined by social and christianic believes of the western lifestyle.
The western lifestly emphasizes more about man,his desires and the fine things of life.contrary to this ideology islam wants for mankind to revere his Creator and invest more in the hereafter,which is more lasting and is sacrificial in the sense that,the life in this world is to be lived cautiously and under Allahs law unlike the free world spread by the western ways,whose believe is that either God is one of three or subconciously doesnt believe in the reality of God.These ideololy is what a large portion of the world subscribes to,for which most of mankind is under the spell of the western influence on the world.this cant be overstressed,when it is fact that the the other regions of the world are virtually compelled by their charms through the most lucrative media houses,political might, human reources and other strengths that are accrued by way of judicious exploration of human and natural resources.
The whole mankind in 2014 are may be said to be subscribers to the western ideology except for few who may object.Hence the present global community are more western.thus,the west is principally christian. Allah addresses this society in this verse,regarding their ideologically dominance :

Praise be to Allah Who hath sent to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness:
(He hath made it) Straight (and Clear), in order that He may warn (the godless) of a terrible Punishment from Him, and that He may give Glad Tidings to the Believers who work righteous deeds, that they shall have a goodly Reward.
Wherein they shall remain forever:
Further that He may warn those (also) who say “Allah hath begotten a son”:
No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying. What they say is nothing but falsehood!
Thou wouldst only perchance, fret thyself to death, following after them, in grief, if they believe not in this Message.
That which is on earth We have made but as a glittering show for the earth, in order that We may test them, as to which of them are best in conduct.
Verily what is on earth We shall make but as dust and dry soil (without growth or herbage).
Or dost thou reflect that the Companions of the Cave and of the Inscription were wonders among Our Signs?
Kahf (18:1-9)

This is true because of the context to which the verse speaks.from present scenerio to the final hour.
